I have been seeing some disturbing post on the Warsaw Community Facebook page depicting Joe Thallemer as being crooked and a racist.
Nothing could be further from the truth. In a recent post, it implies that Joe is a racist against Hispanics. I tried posting a comment to the Warsaw Community web page but I guess they don't want to hear the truth. Here is my post that was not accepted:
Ok... I have had enough. These lies you are spreading about Joe have to stop. I worked for Joe for 24 years. If anyone knows he is not a racist, it's me!
Over those years, we had several employees of different races. Joe worked and served all races. He worked with all minorities and made sure they got the best care and fairest of treatment. He would drive to Crown Point on his day off and work with low-vision patients there.
Why Warsaw Community, are you remaining anonymous? Who exactly are you?
You are trying to ruin a good man's reputation – for what reason? Why all your hate? This is a campaign. Both candidates have an agenda. This shows your character (whoever you are). Shame on you!
I no longer live in the area, but if I did, I would be voting for Joe. I have not seen much affirmative action that Mr. Shoemaker plans to incorporate to better the city.
When you work side by side with a person for as long as I worked with Joe, you know their true character, and I know Joe's heart is in the right place for bettering Warsaw. Stop spreading hate and lies, Warsaw Community Facebook page!
