SYRACUSE - Saturday, the Syracuse/Turkey Creek Township Fire Department will conduct a mock disaster between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
This mock disaster will affect citizens who reside on Medusa Street as well as traffic on Front and Medusa in Syracuse. Medusa and Front streets will be closed from the north side of the bridge to the south side of the railroad during the drill due to several emergency agencies and vehicles being in the area.
Traffic will be limited in this area during the exercise as will access to the boat ramp at Syracuse Lake.
The mock disaster is being held in an effort to better protect the citizens of Syracuse and Turkey Creek Township and their property in the event of a real emergency.
