As a local newspaper that states it “serves Kosciusko County,” it is disappointing that there was very little coverage and no additional write-ups for the high school ladies volleyball sectionals that took place on Saturday, October 17th.
Our county has at least seven school systems our students attend. I counted five of those seven that had teams playing in the semi-finals in the early sessions on Saturday. Two of the five moved on to play each other in the championship final at Tippecanoe Valley: the Ladies of Wawasee and NorthWood. Not a word on the outcome. Not a single picture of the players. No summary of stats. Not even a paragraph that I could find this entire week on the Regional action taking place on Saturday October 24th.
All of the teams had great plays and the ladies put it all on the line for their respective schools. It would have been nice to see them recognized for their hard work this season and what each coach sees happening going forward.
