Dimple D. Fields, 90, of Warsaw, went to be with the Lord at 7:06 p.m. Aug. 8, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born May 26, 1923, in Buffalo Valley, Tenn., to Oscar Lee and Nadie Carr Helms. On Feb. 2, 1952, she married Robert King Fields, who died March 7, 2000. A resident of Kosciusko County since 1969, she was a homemaker and formerly attended Warsaw Community Church. She enjoyed watching Charles Stanley and Billy Graham, and loved to sing gospel music with her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers, reading, taking care of her family and loved chocolate. She will be lovingly remembered by a son, Earl Fields, Warsaw; two daughters, Barbara K. (and spouse Jim) Akers and Carolyn S. (and spouse Stan) Lozier, all of Warsaw; four grandchildren: Adam “A.J.” Lozier, Shelly (and spouse Jose) Rosario, Cathie Blair, and Waylon (and spouse Denise) Akers; and 12 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Lily, Maddox, Warrick, Rocco, Tiayana, Devin, D’Andre, Logan, Devon, Braxton and Dakota; and many nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Cheril Blair; four brothers: Dugan, Luke, Otis “Bud” and R.J. Helms; and three sisters, Thelma Russell, Alma Fields and Ruby Helms. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Boyd Kuester officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
