GLADEVILLE, Tenn. - ML Motorsports driver Justin Diercks finished 24th in Saturday's NASCAR Busch Series Pepsi 300 at Nashville Superspeedway.
Diercks, who qualified 36th in the No. 70 Mary Louise Miller-owned Foretravel Motorcoach Chevy, was making his second Busch Series start of the season.Diercks and ML Motorsports also competed in the NBS race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway March 3, finishing a career-best 22nd.
Nextel Cup driver Carl Edwards won Saturday's race at the 1.33-mile concrete oval, followed in the top five by David Reutimann, Dave Blaney, Jason Leffler and Regan Smith.
With his 24th-place finish, Diercks moved up 11 spots in the season point standings. After making two of three races he attempted to qualify for, Diercks is 52nd in the season point standings.
After seven of 35 races, Edwards leads the season point standings, followed in the top five by Blaney, 2006 champion Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Reutimann.
Diercks and ML Motorsports currently have plans for 16 more races this season, the next being Saturday's O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway
