ELKHART - Diane Alice Martin, 53, of East Jefferson Street, Bourbon, died at 1:20 a.m. Oct. 2, 2008, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

She was born Aug. 15, 1955, in Cadillac, Mich., to Walter and Laura Elliott Telgenhoff. On Aug. 28, 1971, in Niles, Mich., she married Charles B. "Charlie" Martin, who survives.

She spent most of her life in the restaurant business as either a cook or a waitress. She spent nearly 20 years at Mundy's Restaurant, Plymouth, but most recently worked at Grandma's Kitchen, Warsaw, as well as Ma's Maid Service, Knox. where she was working up until the time of her illness. She was a member of Bourbon United Pentecostal Church for nearly 20 years.

Also surviving are four sons: Robert E. (and spouse Jamie) Martin, St. Louis, Mo.; Jason C. Martin, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Thomas A. Martin, Urbana, Ill.; and Brandon J. (and spouse April) Martin, Plymouth; two daughters, Stephanie A. (and spouse Matt) Robbins, Donaldson, and Lacy E. Martin, at home; two brothers, Irwin Telgenhoff, Elkhart, and Jimmy Hopper, Niles, Mich.; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bourbon United Pentecostal Church with Brother Mark Cottrill officiating. There will be cremation.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
