LARWILL – Diana L. Hull, 62, rural Larwill, died after having been in failing health at 10:48 a.m. Oct. 20, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born Oct. 21, 1951, in Whitley County, to Anthony and Betty Sheckler Hill. On July 31, 1970, she married Arden E. Hull, who survives. Her formative years were spent in Etna-Troy Township, Whitley County. She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1970. After marriage, they made their home in Virginia until her husband completed his military service. They then moved back to the Larwill area. She was employed as a teachers aid at Whitko Schools for 15 years. She pursued many hobbies including basket weaving and quilting, and she completed the Master Gardener program. She taught basket weaving in the community, and shared her knowledge of quilting with her granddaughters. Also surviving are her mother, Larwill; a son, Matthew (and spouse Danielle) Hull, Columbia City; a daughter, Steffanie (and spouse Vern) Gross, Pierceton; 15 grandchildren: Seth, Addie, Katelyn, Sarah, Ryan, Sierra, Brady, Caedon, Jordan, Eden, Regan, Luke, Josiah, Judah and Jotham; three sisters: Donna (and spouse John) Tucker, South Whitley; Sally (and spouse Tony) Gingery, Larwill; Shirley Hill, Elkhart; and a brother, Michael (and spouse Loie) Hill, Larwill. She was preceded in death by her father. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. Burial is in Troy Presbyterian Cemetery.
