Dewey L. Lawshe, 69, of Warsaw, passed away at 12:10 a.m. March 25, 2012, in his residence.
He was born March 15, 1943, in Warsaw, to Wilson and Dixie Dykes Lawshe.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, he was a million miler driver for Schneider Transport for 10 years and was a licensed barber since 1962. He also served as city council at-large for the City of Warsaw from 1996-2000. He was a member of Elks Lodge 802 and Moose Lodge 1423, Warsaw.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing and spending time at the Alpine Resort in Roseneath, Canada, and Rozella Ford Community Golf Course, Warsaw.
Surviving are his daughter, Shanda (and spouse Chris) Sanchez, Warsaw; three grandchildren, Phillip R. Robinson, Alexandria L. Sanchez and Mercedes N. Sanchez; a sister, Beverly Foulkrod, Medicine Lodge, Kan.; and his companion, Betty Bayne, Warsaw.
No services or calling are planned. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
