NAPPANEE - Devon Weise, 77, died at 6:45 a.m. June 10, 2009, in LuAnn Nursing Home, Nappanee.
He was born March 11, 1932, in St. Joseph County, to Earl and Edith Holman Weise. On July 14, 1941, in Bremen, he married Betty Holdeman, who died June 5, 1992.
Living most of his life in the Wyatt, Bremen and Nappanee areas, he was a Madison Township High School graduate and a mechanic at McCormick Chevrolet and Bob's Ford, Nappanee.
Surviving are three sons: Wayne (and spouse Sue) Weise, Noblesville; Mickeal Weise, Nappanee; and Charles (and spouse Jane) Weise, Milford; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary (and spouse Rolf) Neitzel, Battle Creek, Mich., and Carol (and spouse Gene) Emerson, Winsted, Minn. He was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.
