DeVon Hurd, 56, of Roanoke, died at 4:05 p.m. Feb. 21, 2012, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He was born Dec. 6, 1955, in Warsaw, to Bennie and Dora Anderson Hurd. He owned Biker Stop, Roanoke. He was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle mechanic. He was a 1973 graduate of Mentone High School and loved spending time with his children, granddaughter and friends. He also enjoyed hunting. Surviving are a brother, Ron Hurd, Mentone; a sister, Kay Blanzy, Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Carrie Hurd, Warsaw; a son, Darin Hurd, Warsaw; and a granddaughter, Alison Anglin, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Hurd, who died Aug. 6, 1997; and his mother, Dora Hurd, who died April 28, 2005. Services will be at 1 p.m. March 3 at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. William Whitaker, Family of Warsaw, Warsaw Family Worship.
