Food, drink and music all will be part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration in downtown Warsaw Thursday.
Part of Buffalo Street, between Center to Main streets, will be closed from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday for the event, which is scheduled for 5 to 10 p.m., according to event coordinator Josh Fricke, One Ten Craft Meatery. Food and beer tents will be set up along the road.
It is a 21-and-over event. Admission is $5 for the wrist band, and tickets for the food and drink also is $5, to cover costs for the event and for the band.
Fricke said One Ten is collaborating with B’Macs On Buffalo on the food and with Mad Anthony’s Lake City Taphouse on the beer and mixed drinks.
The menu will include corned beef and cabbage and bangers and mash. Fricke said B’Macs will provide a veal sandwich, mini reuben sandwiches and different soups like potato and beef and vegetable.
Mad Anthony’s will have green beer, Irish car bombs and Irish whiskey shots.
Area band James & The Drifters will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. in a tent. Fricke said the band is a “semi-local Americana rock band.”
A local radio station also may be doing a live radio remote at Thursday’s event from 7 to 9 p.m.
Fricke said a photo booth will be provided by C.Free.
Fricke said there will be a bike ride starting at The Trail House in Winona Lake beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Anyone riding in that bike ride to the St. Patrick’s event will get free admission.
Anyone serving as a designated driver will get free admission and be supplied with non-alcoholic drinks.
