Derrick E. Brown, Claypool, passed away unexpectedly at 11:30 p.m. March 12, 2017, in Silver Lake, at the age of 38. He was born March 16, 1978, in Warsaw, to Buck Brown and Alice J. Owens. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 1996 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He was a 1998 graduate of Vincennes University, where he enjoyed being a member of Delta Gamma Iota fraternity. He worked as a CNC machinist at Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw for the past 19 years. He was dearly loved and will forever be missed by his family, friends and co-workers. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother: Alice J. Owens, Claypool; father and stepmother, Buck and Joyce Brown, Ocala, Fla.; two daughters, Audra Janell Brown, Shreveport, La., and Alyson Jade Brown, Claypool; brother, Brian (wife Kay) Brown, Mentone; stepbrother, Robert Daisy, Ocala; sister, Heather (husband Shawn) Ousley, Warsaw; and his stepsister: Angel (husband Jon) Stutsman Tucson, Ariz. He was preceded by his grandparents. Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. His funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home immediately following visitation.
