Dennis Randall Pitts, 54, Wabash, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 3:41 p.m. March 27, 2014, in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born July 4, 1959, in Chicago, Ill., to Pinkney Joseph and Lois Marian Corell Pitts. On May 22, 2009, he married Regina Ann Haynes, who survives in Wabash. He was a 1977 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, then served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1981. Also surviving are three stepsons: Daniel Somerlot, Wabash; Philip (and spouse Ashley) Somerlot, Pickens, S.C.; Jonathan Somerlot, Wabash; a stepdaughter, Emily Somerlot, Wabash; two stepgrandchildren, P.J. and Alyssa; and a brother, Dr. Gary (and spouse Beverly) Pitts, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Joseph Allen officiating.
