Dennis Lee YoungBOURBON – Dennis Lee Young, age 74, of Bourbon, passed away on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, in his home.
Dennis was born to Marvin and Eleanor Woodcock Young on Nov. 7, 1947, in Bourbon. He has been a Bourbon resident all his life. He graduated from Bourbon High School in 1965 and served during the Vietnam War for the Air National Guard and served in the Air Force Reserves. He married Nina Greenlee on March 21, 1970. He formerly attended the Bourbon First United Methodist Church. He worked for RR Donnelley & Sons for 44 years before retiring. He enjoyed watching high school sports, and playing claw machines, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family, and his granddaughter.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Nina Young, of Bourbon; his daughter, Melissa Frushour, of Bourbon; his son, Thomas Young, of Elkhart; his granddaughter, Olivia Frushour; his brother, Rex (Judy) Young, of Bourbon; and his sister-in-law, Diane Young, of South Carolina.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Eleanor Young; and his brother, Kent Young (Sept. 13, 2013).
Visitation service will be held on Friday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon. Per family request, face masks are required for entry.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with Pastor Kristin Harp presiding. Per family request, face masks are required for entry. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, with military honors.
