Denise Rogers, 53, Leesburg,  passed away at 12:52 p.m. June 10, 2014, in her residence after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 13, 1960, in Columbia City, to Glen and Delores Dishman Vanator. On Aug. 25, 1990, in North Webster, she married David Rogers, who survives.
She was a 25 year resident of Kosciusko County. Amazing Canvas, North Webster, employed her as an upholstery cutter since 2012. She was formerly employed by Ace Flowers, Warsaw, and was a self-employed Avon representative. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 253, North Webster, the Women’s League, Wawasee Bowl and the Women’s Nine Hole League at South Shore Golf Course.
Also surviving are a son, Zachary Rogers, Leesburg; mother; two sisters, Janet Kiser and Nancy Howell; and a brother, Gary Vanator, all of North Webster. She was preceded in death by her father, Glen.
A celebration of life will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the North Webster American Legion Post #253, with Chaplain Karen Sittler, North Webster American Legion Auxiliary, officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
