Denise Ann CodyDenise Ann Cody, 67, of Silver Lake, formerly of Columbia City, passed away on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Born May 31, 1954, in Rochester, Denise was the daughter of Richard and Norma Leiter Moyer.
Denise loved her cat Sonny. She enjoyed her flower gardens and sitting on the porch watching the birds. She loved cooking for her family and friends, taking long drives and listening to music, especially Fleetwood Mac.
Denise will be lovingly remembered by her companion, Sam Millard Jr., of Silver Lake; her niece, Jessica (David) Creekmore, of Silver Lake; brothers: Bob, Randy, Terry, Gary, Danny, Chris and Donald Moyer; sister, Teresa Blanton; eight nieces, one nephew, 11 great-nephews, five great-nieces and one great-great-nephew. She was preceded in passing by her grandparents: George and Barbara (Kuhn) Moyer and JD and Bessie (Crist) Leiter; parents, Richard and Norma Moyer; an infant son and infant twins.
A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at a later date at her niece’s home. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, have been entrusted with arrangements for the family.
