The annual Demolition Derby attracted a crowd Wednesday at the Kosciusko Community Fair.
The bleachers at the Grandstand were full and overflowing as local drivers and those from the wider Northern Indiana region smashed and bashed their cars to the death - of the cars, that is.Drivers competed in four divisions. Between rounds, drivers staged other crowd-pleasing events, including a sitting-duck car smash and a pickup truck driven through a camper trailer.
Local businesses got involved, with about two-thirds of the cars entered featuring local sponsorship.
"It was a great show," said derby organizer Bob Ferguson. "The outlaws put a tremendous show on, we had a great crowd, it was a great night."
Ferguson said he is already brainstorming ideas for next year's derby.
