Demolition Derby A Fair FavoriteFair goers packed the grandstand Wednesday night for the demolition derby.
Twenty-seven cars and trucks participated in this year's derby.
Many vehicles had a theme, including the ride of David "Fender" Bennett.
Bennett and his father, Larry Bennett, are co-owners of Bennett's Towing in Warsaw.
Their car was painted pink with white ribbons on it to raise awareness for breast cancer. Fender drove the car, which was his second time in the derby."I just like smashing 'em up," said Fender. "You just try to get all the attention you can."
Thousands of dollars in prizes were given out.
Fans were treated to a halftime show by "Crazy Rick," who drove his pickup through two cars and a trailer. Though his pickup flipped on its side, he escaped without injury.
The second-to-last day of the fair is Friday with it being G & G Hauling & Excavating Day and Sponsorship & Media Day.
There will be stock truck pulls in the grandstand at 7 p.m.
Bourbon Backroads Band will perform on the Kerlin's free stage at 6 p.m.
