ROCHESTER – Delores Ruth Tharp, 89, of Rochester, died at 6:03 a.m. May 16, 2012, in Hickory Creek, Rochester.
She was born Feb. 14, 1923, in Logansport, to Eddie William and Rena M. Long Bassler. On Nov. 15, 1942, in Fulton, she married Robert “Bob” Tharp, who died Nov. 7, 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Lowe, Rochester, and Peggy Sue (and spouse Clem) Smith, Osceola,; four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a great-great- granddaughter; and a sister, Cleo Hartman, Ligonier. She also was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Chaplain Jason See officiating.
