Delores McDaniel, 97, formerly of Warsaw, died at 5 a.m. April 9, 2010, in Port Charlotte, Fla., where she resided.
She was born May 7, 1912, in Warsaw, to Orlie C. and Georgia Brown Shaw. On March 2, 1939, she married Thomas Ralph McDaniel, who died June 15, 1973.
Moving to Port Charlotte from Warsaw 21 years ago, she was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw; Warsaw Art's & Crafts; and American Legion Auxiliary Post 49.
Surviving are grandchildren: Karen (and spouse Joe) McKibben, Bullard, Texas; Jan (and spouse Jim) Mayer, Claypool; Delores Copeland, Bourbon; Marcia (and spouse Dane) Buckley, Florence, Wis.; Franky (and spouse Pete) Voss, Muncie; Jim (and spouse Teresa) Copeland, Waco, Texas; and Bruce (and spouse Angie) Butler, Warsaw; a brother, Orlie (and spouse Bev) Shaw, Warsaw; and a sister, Freda (and spouse Harold) Sellers, Pierceton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Copeland, who died July 21, 2009; a son, Frank Butler, who died March 29, 1984; three brothers, George Shaw, who died Aug. 5, 2000; Charles Shaw, who died in 1945; and Norman Shaw, who died in March 20, 2001; and two sisters, Beatrice Hard, who died March 15, 2002, and Betty Colt, who died Oct. 14, 1998.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Andy Martin of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
