Delois Zimmerman, 73, Mentone, passed away at 4:35 a.m. Dec. 12, 2013, at his residence. He was born April 25, 1940, in Warsaw, to Thorton and Fay Smith Zimmerman. In Warsaw, he married Esther Hyde, who survives. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he worked 40 years as a chemical muller mixer for Warsaw Foundry. He was a member of Harvest Community Church, Pierceton, where he was very active. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids. Also surviving are his son, James (and spouse Karen) Zimmerman, Mentone; his daughter, Kathy (and spouse Bud) Phillips, Mentone; three grandchildren: James (and fiance Nykole McGuire) Zimmerman, Nichole (and spouse Kevin) Satterthwaite and Tim (and finance Allison Orr) Perkins; his great-grandson, Nicholas Satterthwaite; his twin sister, Delores Hyde; and his stepbrother, Keith Berkas, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn Himes. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Glenn Hall and Pastor Lee Perry officiating. Burial is in Palestine Cemetery.
