Delia Elizabeth NixDelia Elizabeth Nix, 97, Warsaw Meadows Care Center, died at 1:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1923, in Broadhead, Ky., to Katherine Seals Gumm and Bleve Gumm. She was married to Calvie T. Tunsil in 1940. Calvie died in 1986. She was married on March 5, 1974, to James Murrill Nix. James died Dec. 1, 2006.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Due to the current, unprecedented guidelines limiting public gatherings because of the COVID-19 virus and safety concerns the visitation is limited to 25 people at a time. Please use good judgment in determining the length of your visit or if you should attend. There will be no congregating in the parking lot and physical distancing of 6 feet is mandatory.
Delia’a life will be celebrated with a service following visitation at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Ronnie Patrick. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam. Please follow social distancing guidelines at the cemetery as well.
