Scott and Mary DeGood, Syracuse, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Caylyne Rene DeGood to Dr. Dylan Cahill Arnold, both of Augusta, Ga. He is the son of Robert Arnold, Barbara Ewell, Mr. and Mrs. J. Parks and Andria Atkinson, all of Virginia Beach, Va. The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Wawasee High School. She received bachelor’s degrees in chemisty and biology from Butler University in 2007, and a master’s degree in biology from Purdue University in 2008. The groom-elect is a 2004 graduate from Ocean Lakes High School of Virginia Beach, and he received a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from the University of Virginia in 2008. Both received a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012, and are currently physician residents in emergency medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, Georgia Regents Medical Center, Augusta. The groom-elect is also a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and will serve as military physician upon completion of residency in 2015. The couple are looking forward to a coastal station in the future. They plan an August wedding in Syracuse.
