Defends Family

Editor, Times-Union:

Thank you for your regards, Mr. Steve Jones. I will have you know I am a single parent and don't think I've done a real bad job.

Seth has been concentrating so much on bills, the baby and working, that he hadn't gone out for so long, I bought him and his girlfriend the tickets. No, I know Seth wasn't right, and it's not a perfect world. I have not said he was right.

My family is just fine. We do what we can, with what we have. You don't know us, so what gives you the right to judge? What were you doing when you were 18? Partying, or praying?

Seth was charged and convicted before this ever goes to court. Does anyone out there know he was going to drive? I don't.

Where are you hiding? You must know everything. Why aren't you a judge, or an officer?

All I have said is Seth doesn't deserve a $200,000 bond, and he didn't deserve the way he was treated while being arrested twice on the same charge. You don't know the whole story, so get off us.

This could go on forever. And as I told the other lady, go on with your perfect life, I will handle me and mine. You don't put the bread on our tables, and we don't need you to.
