Aren't We Above This?

Right title, wrong content, but a perfect example.

After seeing what was happening in Florida with the Biden interview and seeing we had the same problem here, I just had to comment.

While I wouldn't choose that method to make a statement and don't necessarily agree with it, I really don't agree with what you did, Mr. Gerard. I don't believe Mr Nieter only took the one picture (Obama), as the other one (McCain), was more obvious. But I could be wrong.

You see, I know where you are talking about, but I didn't see one word in your article about the exact same thing being done for McCain that was done for Obama. There is a noose and white trash bag made up exactly the same for McCain, yet you did not report one word about that. McCain's was the most visible. I went back and took a picture of McCain for you just in case this bias blame falls to Mr. Nieter.

This is the perfect example of what is happening to newspapers and news reporting everywhere. Selective reporting. You took a political statement and made it a racial statement by only taking one small piece of the picture. By not reporting everything involved, you created a story that didn't exist in the first place.

If nothing else, this year's election should be showing the public how badly the news distorts their reporting. Shame on you, Mr. Gerard. Enjoy the McCain picture.
