Deer Task Force Announces Training Session Aug. 20

Veteran archers will participate in the city’s deer reduction training this month. The training is Aug. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Warsaw Police Department. Veteran Deer Task Force archers are defined as being archers who have successfully participated in the reduction effort for a minimum of one year since the inception of the program. “We have been able to maintain a core group of committed archers in our program the past several years,” said Jeff Grose, deer task force chair. “We believe this group of veteran Deer Task Force archers is large enough they know and follow our strict guidelines and they have a proven track record of safely taking deer in our declared reduction zones.” Information, forms and applications for veteran archers can be obtained at warsaw.in.gov.
