PETOSKEY, Mich. – Debra McCain, 52, of Petoskey, Mich., died Dec. 9, 2011, in her residence, after a seven-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec, 27, 1958, in Columbia City, to Joe and Monetta Zorn Gray, who survive. In 1995, she married Mike, who survives.
She graduated from Wawasee High School, Syracuse. She studied and worked in the travel industry. In 1981, she moved to Indianapolis then to Petoskey, Mich., later that year. She was a member of the Genesis Church of Petoskey.
Also surviving are two daughters, Katie Labra and Sarah McCain, both of Petoskey; a son, Adam McCain, Petoskey; four sisters, Becky, Dawn, Teresa and Monaca; and a brother, Mark Gray. She was preceded in death by a sister.
A memorial gathering will be Jan. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Emmet County Community Center, in the Emmet County Fairgrounds, Petoskey. Stone Funeral Home Inc., Petroskey, is in charge of arrangements.
