Deborah ‘Debbie’ Sue AnglinDeborah “Debbie” Sue Anglin, age 68, died on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, in West Woods of Niles, where she resided.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1953, in South Bend, to John Wesley Anglin (who preceded her in death) and Norma Jean Murphy Anglin, who survives.
She attended Logan Center in South Bend for one year in 1960 and one year at Washington High School for intellectually challenged children. In 1962, her family moved to Tippecanoe Lake near Leesburg. Her parents helped to start Cardinal Center in Warsaw that same year; she attended there for 40 years. She was a charter member of the Cardinal Handbell Choir with whom she performed for 11 years. While with the choir, they took a trip to Washington, D.C., where they performed several concerts. She was also a Special Olympic athlete since its April 1973 inception in Kosciusko County, earning many medals.
In 1975, her family moved to Clunette and in 2010 to Warsaw. Following her father John’s passing in 2012, Debbie and Norma moved to Niles in 2019. For several years, while living in Clunette, she kept membership at Clunette United Methodist Church. Debbie is a longtime member of Leesburg United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, Norma J. Anglin, survivors include two sisters: Denise Bronsing (Peter Chinworth), of Warsaw; and Diane (Bruce) Gescheidle, of Niles; nieces: Lori (Roman) Martinez, of Bloomington; Beth (Brack) Thomas, of Wilmington, Del.; Lisa Gescheidle, of Niles; Sarah (John) Nice, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla.; nephew, Bryan (Krystal) Bronsing, of North Webster; great-nieces: Alexys Bronsing, Madelyn Thomas, Lexus Gescheidle, Isabelle Martinez, Evelyn Beers, Krystian Bronsing, Annabelle Bronsing; great-nephews: Jordan Bronsing, Elias Martinez, Christopher Thomas, Max Martinez, Andrew Nice; and great-great-nephew, Malahkai Bronsing. Debbie loved all of her nieces and nephews very much.
A Life Celebration® is entrusted to Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, where friends may gather on Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Envoy Ken Locke of the Salvation Army, Warsaw, will officiate the service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery following the service.
