AKRON – Deborah A. Dotson, 59, Akron, died May 31, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born Nov. 2, 1956, in Warsaw, to Glen and Rebecca Lester Dotson. She worked in shipping for Mallard Coach Company, Nappanee, where she had worked for many years. She was a graduate of Akron High School in 1974. She was a former member of Silver Creek Church of God. She always enjoyed listening to gospel CDs. She was a very active part of the Literacy Coalition at the Akron Carnegie Library. Surviving are her father, Glen (and spouse Kathy) Dotson, Akron; a sister, Sharon (and spouse Mitch) Steele, North Manchester; two nephews, Matthew Murray, Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Mark Murray, Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Dotson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Thomas Craig officiating. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, Silver Lake.
