MENTONE – Debbie Jo Whybrew, 47, of Silver Lake, passed at 8:34 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2021, at her residence.

Debbie was born on March 28, 1973, in Warsaw, to the late Joe W. and Suellen Jones Slone. She was married on Aug. 18, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Joe C. Whybrew; he survives.

Debbie was a 1991 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. She worked for Kosciusko Community Hospital for 16 years as a unit clerk as well as being a bus driver for Warsaw Community Schools for 14 years. She enjoyed shopping and being by the lake. She was known to enjoy socializing with friends and spending time with her boys.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Joe Whybrew, of Silver Lake; sons, Jared Whybrew and Justin Whybrew, both of Silver Lake; sisters, Peg and husband Jim Smith, of Warsaw; and Penny Slone, of Burket; and a brother, Jason and wife Gina Slone, of Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Suellen Slone.

A private family service will take place with the interment in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.

The arrangements for Mrs. Whybrew are entrusted to King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.
