Kosciusko County Recorder Deb Wright announced her candidacy Monday for re-election to the office of county recorder.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, Wright is currently serving her third term as county recorder. All 27 of her years of service in Kosciusko County Government have been in the recorder’s office, including over 12 years as chief deputy, with 2025 being her 11th year as elected recorder, according to a news release she provided.
During Wright’s time as recorder, many technological upgrades have been made, including e-recording, online document searching, and debit and credit card processing. Additionally, over 80% of the recorder’s office records have been digitized for longevity and security and more efficient retrieval.
Wright has the extensive experience required with daily balancing and depositing, budgeting, accounts payable and payroll, as well as supervising staff and representing Kosciusko County in a positive and service-oriented manner, the news release states.
“I have been very blessed with my career in Kosciusko County government. I love what I do and feel very fortunate that I have been elected to serve and represent Kosciusko County. It is my desire to be able to do so for another term,” Wright stated.
