Kevin and Amy Deardorff, Claypool, and Lori Tilden and DeLynn Geiger, Warsaw, announce the engagement of their daughter, Mallory Deardorff, to Lucas Dawson, both of Philadelphia. He is the son of Todd and Jan Dawson, Broomfield, Colo. The bride-to-be is a second-year law student at Drexel University’s Earle Mack School of Law, Philadelphia. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2008, and in December, 2011, she was awarded a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Purdue University. The groom-elect is a second-year doctoral candidate studying immunology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2005, and received a bachelor’s degree in biology and society in May, 2009, from Cornell Univesity. The couple plan a Jan. 3, 2015, wedding.
