YPSILANTI, Mich. - Deanna M. Brinks, 61, of Belleville, Mich., died Nov. 9, 2008, in her residence with her family at her side.
She was born Feb. 20, 1947, in Cadillac, Mich., to Gordon and Alice Schmidt Frook, who survive in Wayland, Mich. On March 21, 1969, she married Kenneth L. Brinks, who survives.
Formerly of Cadillac and Holland, Mich., she was a 1965 Kenowa Hills High School graduate and a member of New Life Bible Baptist Church, Ypsilanti. Because of her faith and love in Jesus Christ, it is known she is resting in His arms today.
Also surviving are a son, Douglas (and spouse Rebecca) Brinks, Ada, Okla.; a daughter, Michelle (and spouse Ken) Adams, Belleville; six grandchildren; a sister, Kathy (and spouse Dan) McRae, Plainwell, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Timothy Frook.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Life Bible Baptist Church, 1175 S. Grove Road, Ypsilanti. Burial will be in Fairplanes Cemetery, Sparta Township, Mich.
Calling is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Stark Funeral Service, Moore Memorial Chapel, Ypsilanti, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
