NORTH MANCHESTER – Deane A. Kline, 88, formerly of Claypool, died at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1, 2013, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
She was born Oct. 28, 1925, in North Manchester, to Warren M. and M. Eloise Peabody Grossnickle. On Sept. 14, 1945, she married Victor E. Kline, who died May 30, 2003.
She graduated from Chester High School in 1943. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of  Center United Methodist Church, Silver Lake, and a member of the former Jr. Jackson Township Home Ec Club and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis (and spouse Dorothy) Kline, Claypool, and David (and spouse Patricia) Kline, Pendleton; a daughter, Vicki Turner, Winona Lake; a brother-in-law, Max Kline, Fort Wayne; two sisters, Gloria Bell, North Manchester, and Carol Paxson, Fort Wayne; four grandchildren: Christina (and spouse Mike) McCaul. Pendleton; William Todd (and spouse Jennifer) Kline, White Oak, Ga.; Mark Kline and Anita (and spouse Chicho) Kline-Balbuena, both of Claypool; and three great-grandchildren: Nicolas and Arya Balbuena Kline, and William Kannon Kline. She also was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester, with Pastor Kent Harting and Jeff Grossnickle officiating. Burial is in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
