BOURBON - Dean Rhodes, 99, of Tippecanoe, died July 7, 2010, in his residence.
He was born Jan. 8, 1911, in north Fulton County, to Riley and Mattie Martin Rhodes. On June 11, 1933, he married Edith May Kochel, who died Feb. 20, 2000.
A resident of the Tippecanoe area since March 1938, he was a farmer and drove school bus for 25 years. He was a 1928 Richland Center School graduate.
Surviving are three sons: David (and spouse Marian) Rhodes, Baroda, Mich.; Russel (and spouse Janice) Rhodes, Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.; and Donald Rhodes, Tippecanoe; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, with Pastor Stormy Scherer-Berry officiating. Burial will be in Parks Cemetery, north of Bourbon.
Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
