Deadlines for anyone interested in serving on two school- related boards is approaching.
A position on the Warsaw Public Library Board, controlled by Warsaw Community Schools, is opening up, and the school board is seeking applications.
The position held by Joy Fair will become available Sept. 9. The school board has extended the deadline for applicants to Aug. 23, and hopes to make an appointment by Sept. 9.
Fair, who has been associated with Taxpayers Action Network, served one term and is not seeking another.
As of Monday, the school has not received any applications, according to schools superintendent Lee Harman.
Also, anyone interested in running for any of the three Warsaw School Board positions has until noon Aug. 23 to file.
Application forms and other information to possible applicants for the school board are available at the central office. The process involves getting at least 10 names on a petition.
Board positions in District No. 3 (currently held by Dan Robinson), District No. 6 (currently held by Craig Allebach), and District No. 4 (currently held by Chuck Sauders) are up for election Nov. 5.
