NORTH WEBSTER - The North Webster Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the Dawg Days of Summer Aug. 25, and local residents and their dogs are invited to join in the fun.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the soccer field off Crystal Flash Road, next to the baseball diamonds in North Webster. All proceeds will go to the Animal Welfare League and New Hope Pet Rescue.
The event will feature several demonstrations, including grooming, first aid and obedience. A parade will be held at noon. Awards will be given to dogs in attendance for Best Trick, Best Dressed, Best Groomed, Best Vocal, Look Alike, Best Obedience, Best Photo and Best in Show.
Food, drinks and games will be available with prizes for kids and dogs. Identification micro-chipping and pet photos also will be available at Dawg Days.
Dog owners are required to have proof of their dogs' current shots to bring them to the event. Also, all dogs must be on a leash. Registration for Dawg Days will begin at 9 a.m. Vendor space is available at $10 per space. For more information, call Denise Williams at 574-834-3700.
