David Samuel CollinsDavid Samuel Collins, of Leesburg, Ind., passed away surrounded by his loving family at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the age of 49.
He was born on August 25, 1969 in Warsaw, Ind., to Nancy Joan Guy Collins and Samuel Collins. On June 30, 1997, he was married to Jessica Lyn Patterson Collins.
David was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., where he was a 1988 graduate of Warsaw High School. In 1991, he started work at Gulf Stream in Nappanee, Ind., until 2010. He started working in production at Da Lite Screen in Warsaw in 2011 until his retirement due to illness. When David wasn’t working or finishing a project, he enjoyed fishing and boating. One of his most favorite things to do was just spending time with the apple of his eye, his one and only beloved grandson, Oliver. David loved his family and friends and his family and friends dearly loved David, and he will be missed.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Jessica Lyn Collins of Leesburg; a son, Marty Collins of Warsaw; a daughter, Danielle Mills of Leesburg; and his grandson, Oliver Collins of Leesburg. He also leaves behind his parents, Samuel and Nancy Collins; and his sister, Tammy Stapleton, all of Warsaw.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
David’s life will be celebrated with a funeral service that will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at the funeral home and officiated by Mr. Art Bushen.
Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg.
