David P. Michael, 63, Warsaw, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, in his home.
David was born in Warsaw on Aug. 2, 1955, to Earl and Clara Mae Hankins Michael.
David graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1973. In 1977, he graduated from Indiana State University with a major in history and a minor in teaching.
He worked as a teacher for a brief period of time, then worked in hotel management in Nebraska, Illinois and Indianapolis for Dillon Inn, which later became Hampton Inn. He finished his career as a senior community manager for Community Association Services of Indiana (CASI), Carmel.
David was a huge Indy Car and NASCAR fan, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver. He enjoyed watching Chicago Cubs baseball and Chicago Bears football, baking, reading and working jigsaw puzzles. His goodies will be missed by many!
Being an only child, his extended family was very important to him, and he worked hard, even during his illness, to keep the tradition of a summer family reunion alive.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Warsaw.
David is survived by his stepmother, Mary Michael, Carmel; and numerous first, second, third and fourth cousins.
