LEESBURG – David P. Cook, 68, Leesburg, died at 7 a.m. Dec. 12, 2014, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne following complications from surgery Nov. 24. He was born Oct. 26, 1946, in Warsaw, to Paul O. and M. Naomi Lackey Cook. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he graduated from Mentone High School in 1965 and began working at Uniroyal, retiring in 2012. He loved to work, and even built his home. He enjoyed caring for his property and living on the Tippy River. He was a man of deep faith and spent endless hours reading the Bible. He loved his family deeply and was always there to help however he could. He will be truly missed by his son, Paul Allen Cook, Loudoun County, Va., and formerly of Warsaw; two granddaughters, Kacie Marie Wallace and Kylie Marie Cook; and a great-granddaughter, Izabella Nichole Miller, both of Warsaw; brother-in-law, Paul Evans, Fort Wayne; and former wife, Nancy Hoppus Webster, Loudoun County and formerly of Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wendall Edward and Joseph Earl; and three sisters: Gloria Jean Moore, Dixie Warren Stabler and V. Elaine Evans.
