David Franklin Dittman Jr., 60, Warsaw, died at 11:12 a.m. Saturday in his home.
He was born July 13, 1955, in Hastings, Mich., to David F. Sr. and Earline Gladys Brodock Dittman.
He earned his general education degree. He served with the United States Navy on the USS Racine, part of the Pacific fleet. He lived most of his life in the Warsaw area and was a truck driver for Creighton Brothers for 15 years, retiring in 2005. He also worked for the Indiana State Highway Department for five years. He was a member of God’s Highway to Heaven Church and loved to fish.
Surviving are two daughters, Angelique (and spouse Jesse) Harter, Bainbridge, Ga., and Misty Valdez, Warsaw; one son, D.J. (and spouse Jessica) Dittman, Kirklin; one brother, Steven Dittman, Nappanee; two sisters, Nita (and spouse Roger) Waggoner, Russellville, Ill, and Norma Taylor, Warsaw; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, David Dittman, Sr., who died Dec. 15, 2012; her mother, Earline Chapman, who died May 12, 2010; and one brother, Bill Dittman, who died Nov. 2, 1985.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, with Pastor Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
