FORT WAYNE – David E. Elzey, 17, passed away Sept. 28, 2013, at Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne. He was a student at Northrop High School. He enjoyed just being a teenager, being outside, riding his mo-ped, being involved with his Scout Troop 55 and shooting airsoft and guns at Isaac Walton. He was a fighter and warrior, and was always involved with his treatment during his two-year battle with cancer. He touched many lives during his during his struggles. His family and friends will miss his loving, kind, gentle heart as well as his fighter’s spirit. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Susan A. and Al Forks, Fort Wayne; twin brother, Matt Elzey; his cat and companion, Patton; grandparents, Willedean Crisp, Harold Bud Struver, and Con and Helen Forks, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Struver. Private burial will be at a later date. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at D.O.
