BREMEN - David Christopher Ewald, 55, of Bremen, died Oct. 14, 2010, in his residence.
He was born Feb. 21, 1955, in South Bend, to Daniel and Kathryn Nagy Ewald.
He liked all kinds of sports. He enjoyed watching the Cubs and was a big Notre Dame fan. He liked playing pool, bowling, playing cards and being outside, either walking or riding his bike. He was a 1973 graduate of Riley High School, South Bend, and was a member of Horizon Ministries, Bremen.
Surviving are two sons, Nathan R. Ewald and David C. Ewald, both of South Bend; two brothers, Daniel (and spouse Melody) Ewald, Leesburg, and Michael Ewald, Marion; a sister Linda Helenburg, South Bend; three nephews, Eric and Jason Ewald and Justin Duvall; and four nieces, Christine and Jessica Duvall, Lynn Schleeter and Cassandra Ewald. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kimberley M. Ewald.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with Pastor Jim Morse officiating.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
