David C. Wallace, 53, of 4900 N. Marine Drive 803, Chicago, Ill., and formerly of Warsaw, died at 9:46 a.m. Jan. 30, 2009, in LaPorte County, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
He was born July 9, 1955, in Whitley County, to John Gerald "Jerry" and Helen Marie Hollman Wallace.
Living in Chicago for the past 30 years, he was a private practice attorney in Evanston, Ill.; an agent of Attorney's Title Guarantee Fund; and an arbitrator for Cook County Arbitration. He was a past member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Warsaw. He received a bachelor's degree in 1976 and his JD in 1979, both from Valparaiso University. He was admitted to the Illinois and Indiana bar associations.
Surviving are three brothers, John H. (and spouse Sarah) Wallace, Granville, Ohio; Mark R. (and spouse Matina) Wallace, Seattle, Wash.; and Michael S. (and spouse Kristin) Wallace, Fort Atkinson, Wis.; a sister, Lisa M. Wallace, Phoenix, Ariz.; and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 6 p.m. today at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1720 E. Center St., Warsaw, with Pastor Stuart Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
