Daryl Thomas, 62, North Webster, passed away March 27, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 14, 1952, in North Webster, to Max and Jeanette Lamprecht Thomas. He was a faithful and loving husband to Bonnie King-Thomas, who survives. He will be remembered as the original founder and lead guitarist for the band Shilo. He was awarded “Music Master” by Wawasee School where he taught music. He also drove the bus for 26 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Amanda (and spouse Josh) Vetor and Schaya (and spouse Daniel) Hernandez; three stepchildren, Robbie King, Beverly Swick and Eric Kee; a sister, Mary Moorman; a niece, Missy (and spouse Gary) Tom; a nephew, Robert (and spouse Michelle) Murphy; several other nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private family memorial service will be at a later date. Calling will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Eastlund Funeral Home.
