Darrell Wayne Hatcher, Leesburg, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 1, 2015 in Elkhart.
He was born Aug. 10, 1948, in Hazard, Ky., to Clarence Hatcher and Sinia Faye Adams Hatcher, who preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1970. He attended Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw. He enjoyed family gatherings, the outdoors and especially camping and fishing. He loved being with his family and children.
He worked in construction, and he was a purchasing agent for a van conversion company and for a manufactured home company. He was a realtor, a jack of all trades.
Surviving are a son, Darrell Wayne Hatcher II, Leesburg; a daughter, Christel (and spouse Adam) Crawford, Knoxville, Tenn.; a grandson, Austin Crawford, Knoxville, Tenn.; four sisters: Jean E. Sturgill, Warsaw, Jacqueline Hatcher, Culver, Kathleen (and spouse Gary) Kilbourne, Pierceton, and Vicki (and spouse Curtis) Holle, Bloomington; five brothers: Larry (and spouse Connie) Hatcher, Pierceton, James (and spouse Ann) Hatcher, Leesburg, Rick (and spouse Ginny) Hatcher, Warsaw, Nick (and spouse Connie) Hatcher, Warsaw and Tim Hatcher, Leesburg; many nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw, with Pastor Lewis Wedstel Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg Cemetery with military rites.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Living Hope Ministries, 595 East CR 350N, Warsaw.
