Dardanella Yoder, 74, passed away at 6:58 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, in her Warsaw home.
She was born in Benton Harbor, Mich., on Oct. 10, 1942, to Russell and Helen Lucas Himes.
She and Richard E. Yoder were joined in marriage Oct. 29, 1961, in Warsaw, and would share 55 years.
Living most of her life in Warsaw, she was a customer service representative for its Marsh Supermarket and had also been employed by Wildman Business Group. Dardanella was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Silver Lake.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; two daughters, Laura (Wesley) Engle, Warsaw, and Tina (Justin) Embry, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three sons: David (Jennifer) Julian, Columbia City; and Chris (Tracy) Yoder and Brian (Brenda) Yoder, both of Mentone; three sisters: Beverly Moody and Cindy Himes, both of Warsaw; and Sharon McNees, Nashville, Tenn.; 27 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Dardanella in passing are two sons, Mike Julian and Rick Yoder; two brothers, Rusty Himes and Bing Himes; and two sisters: Louise Hester and an infant sister.
Calling will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, July 21, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
A service celebrating Dardanella’s life will follow at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Lorren Bradley of First Freewill Baptist Church, Silver Lake, officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
