Daniel “Dan” G. Ramsey, 59, Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at his home.
Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Paul and Wanda Davis Ramsey. A graduate of Wayne High School, he furthered his education at Ivy Tech, specializing in machining.
Dan proudly served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Div., for eight years. He was a machinist with Zimmer/Biomet for over 10 years and was previously employed with Zollner Pistons. He enjoyed animals, birds, nature and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jackie Druley Ramsey, Warsaw; son, Ryan Paul Ramsey, Warsaw; siblings: Tim (Cheryl) Ramsey, Decatur; Paula Ramsey and Jennifer (Jim) O’Day, both of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Julie (Robert) Pettibone, Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Darren (Brandi) McFarland, Fort Wayne; father and mother in-law, Jeffrey (Constance) McFarland, Fort Wayne; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Dr. Jennifer Druley-Tholt.
Funeral service will be noon Thursday, Aug. 23 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
