The Watershed Foundation’s annual Dance at Tippy will be held Saturday, July 26 from 7-11 p.m. at the Tippy Dance Hall on Lake Tippecanoe.
The historic venue features an outdoor stage and dance floor where, for more than a century, teens and adults gathered on summer evenings to enjoy dancing and live music. Performances included now-legendary musicians like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, REO Speedwagon and The Byrds. Now closed to the public, Tippy Dance Hall reopens for one night each summer to host the Dance at Tippy, The Watershed Foundation’s biggest annual fundraiser, according to a provided news release.
This year’s event includes dinner catered by The Owl’s Nest and a concert from local band Whoa, Man! Their music features classic anthems from Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, and Tina Turner to modern hits from Gwen Stefanie, Adele and many more.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from 7-7:45 p.m. The concert and dance begins at 8 p.m.
Ticket options include dinner and dance tickets for $125 or dance-only tickets for $75. VIP tables with reserved seating for 10 guests are available for $1,500. A cash bar will open to all attendees.
All proceeds support The Watershed Foundation’s work to protect and preserve water quality in area lakes, rivers and streams.
