COLUMBIA CITY - Dan Lee Gordon, 55, of Columbia City, passed away peacefully at his residence at 3:53 p.m. March 16, 2010.
He was born March 25, 1954, in Columbia City, to Norman Dale and Margie Alice Gaerte Gordon, who survive. On Oct. 26, 2008, at The Chapel, Fort Wayne, he married Tamra Jo Kneller, who survives.
He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1972, and lived his entire lifetime in Whitley County, except for 10 years at Chapman Lake, rural Warsaw. He first worked at Toby Krider's Lawn Service and then WA Jones, both in Columbia City; Dana, Fort Wayne; Essex, Columbia City; Food Marketing, Fort Wayne; Boyd Machine, Wolf Lake; and for the past 20 years as a CNC machinist for DePuy, Warsaw. He was a member of The Chapel, NRA, ABATE and HOG.
Also surviving are two daughters, Christina D. (and spouse William) Jeffers, Columbia City, and Jodi Williams, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Danielle, Haley and Amanda; a sister, Debbie D. (and spouse Wayne) Kreiger, Columbia City; two brothers, Randy Joe (and spouse Julie) Gordon and Benny Bruce (and spouse Robin) Gordon, all of Columbia City; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Mabel Gordon and Grover and Beulah Gaerte.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road, Fort Wayne, officiated by Pastors Mark Clough and Gary Endersby of The Chapel.
